A building that has stood for well over a century has seen many rounds of plumbing changes. It is common to find a mix of materials: old cast iron drains, sections of galvanized pipe, newer copper and plastic, all joined at different times. Walls may be plaster or stone, floors may be original wood, and access can be tight.

Our approach in these buildings is slow and deliberate. We trace lines before cutting into anything, work through existing access where we can, and keep our work area neat to protect original finishes.

Owners of historic Peninsula homes and storefronts often want new fixtures that suit the building. Many manufacturers make faucets, sinks and toilets in traditional styles with modern internals. We can install those, adapt connections to older piping and point out where a period look might compromise function or water use.

Wells and Septic in the Valley

Some properties in and around Peninsula rely on private wells and septic systems, particularly those on larger or more remote parcels. That changes how we troubleshoot. Pressure problems may come from well equipment, and slow drains may point to the septic side rather than a clog in the house.

Peninsula is about 34 miles in a straight line from our East Canton shop, so we plan visits carefully and often combine them with work in Boston Heights, Richfield, Macedonia, Hudson and Silver Lake. Send photos and details when you call so we arrive with the right parts.

We offer emergency plumbing and leak containment. Because of the drive, know where your main shutoff is, or on a well, which breaker controls the pump. Close it, shut off the water heater and drain the lines through a low faucet. Then call 330-875-8003. Damage inspections and insurance assistance are available after the leak is fixed.

Maintenance and Booking

Older buildings benefit from a regular look. Homeowners can join our maintenance agreement for $189 per year or $378 for three years, which includes an annual inspection, priority service, emergency support, 10% off labor and materials and no service-charge minimums. It transfers to a new owner and renews automatically.
